VOLUNTEERING AT BODELWYDDAN CASTLE

The Value of Volunteering

People volunteer for many reasons. Some want to gain experience, acquire new skills, or expand their network of contacts as a way to get a new job or start a career. Others simply do it because it makes them feel good and gives them the opportunity to meet new people.

This is what makes volunteers so valuable to an organisation such as Bodelwyddan Castle Trust.

At Bodelwyddan Castle Trust volunteering is not about saving money, it’s about giving our visitors the opportunity to benefit from the enthusiasm, experience or knowledge of others. Its about giving individuals the opportunity to become part of a team that aims to make the wonders of this site accessible to all people from all walks of life.

Volunteer Roles

There are a number of different roles volunteers can take at Bodelwyddan Castle.

  • Room Stewards

  • Changing Exhibition Stewards

  • Ghost Walk & Paranormal Investigation Team Assistants

  • Gardeners / Grounds Maintenance Assistants

  • Special Events / Wedding Stewards

  • Shop Assistants

  • Catering Assistants

Most roles allow you to give as little or as much time as you like in assisting us with our work, although the nature of some roles means this can only take place between certain hours.  For those who are unable to help us for a full day, we may be able to arrange shift sharing and welcome short time slots of assistance during our busy times.
