Adult Workshops:  

 

We host a number of adult workshops, giving you the opportunity to try your hand at a wide range of creative techniques while learning from experienced artists.  To receive information about our adult workshops, please contact enquiries@bodelwyddan-castle.co.uk 

 

 

Children's Workshops:

 

The following workshops are a great way for the family to enjoy a visit to Bodelwyddan Castle and our featured exhibitions.  And like all the best things in life, they are free!  Up to 4 children go free with each paying adult (house admission charge).  Places are limited so book as soon as possible to reserve your place.

This offer does not apply to holiday clubs.

If you are unable to attend our workshops, why not come along and have a go at some of the hands on activities available to all visitors to our featured exhibition.

Build your own Dinosaur Museum

Imagine the amazing dinosaur discoveries you would like to see in your very own Dinosaur Museum.  What would yours have?  How about dinosaurs bigger than a double-decker bus or strange creatures that fly through the sky or even giant sea monsters?

Suitable for children age 4+, with an accompanying adult.  Booking essential.

 

 

Sunday 25th May, 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Magic Fossils

Discover how fossils are made, from whole skeletons to the smallest animal tracks, and what they tell us about life on Earth in the age of the dinosaurs.  Design and create your own modern fossil to take home with you.  

Suitable for children age 4+, with an accompanying adult.  Booking essential.

 

 

Monday 26th May, 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Dinorama & Exploding Volcano Workshops

Create a prehistoric 3-D landscape for your favourite dinosaurs and carry out an amazing exploding volcano experiment with 'real' lava!  Join our resident team of dinosaur enthusiasts to make this magnificent collaborative dinosaur world - this workshop promises to be lots of family fun!

Suitable for children age 4+, with an accompanying adult.  Booking essential.

 

Sunday 11th May, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

How to be a fossil hunter

Bodelwyddan Castle's very own paleontologist, Dr Mason, will show you how to become a successful fossil hunter and dinosaur detective.  You will discover how fossils are made, where to look for the best fossils, what to do with your fossil when you find it and how to identify it.  With lots of specimens for you to examine and a chance to hunt out your own fossils, this event will suit any budding scientist.

Suitable for children age 7+, with an accompanying adult.  Booking essential.

* Please note that access to the Events Showground may be restricted during events. Admission is by purchase of an event ticket. Most outdoor events are not managed by Bodelwyddan Castle Trust.
